Take Your Ass Outside Tonight and Watch The Geminid's Meteor Shower Peak!

Upper 40's here in N TX...They seem to be falling 1 every minute...Sometimes 2

Pissing rain tonight in Metro Vancouver ARRRGGH

I'll never forget witnessing the Leonid Meteor Shower PEAK in November 2001 on the west coast of Vancouver Island on the beach, new moon, no light distortion, sky full of stars to the horizon and meteors peaking at SEVERAL HUNDREDS PER MINUTE! - Full-on sparkly trails like out of a special effects movie. The most amazing celestial display I've ever seen in my life.

What is cool is that this is MY meteor shower ... I was born a Gemini. hehehee

Plan to after the hockey game - hopefully it will still be clear here - cleared up nicely after the rain last night, so I hope so.

Broke out my LL Bean wool coat and snow boots so I should be set here in Georgia, lol.

THE GEMINID METEOR SHOWER IS UNDERWAY: International observers are counting as many as 50 meteors per hour as Earth plunges into a stream of debris from rock comet 3200 Phaethon. Rates could double, or more, when the shower peaks on Dec. 13th and 14th. The best time to look is during the dark hours before dawn on Thursday and Friday

But go out tonight (or right now if its dark out) and witness a spectacle!

Look North to East... You should see em whiz through the sky

Anytime after dark... as the night drags on... they should increase.

Leave the dumb phone, the TV the computer and watch the fireballs stream across the sky...

I am content saw about 30 over two hours. One was green with a huge fire trail great show. Time to finish my beer and hit the hay. Good luck all.

In NC saw 22 in 30 but 2 had real nice green tails

That few minutes was so amazing that I'm making hot coco and stealing my son's electric blanket to head back out. I might even walk around to a few neighbors and pull the plug on their xmas lights

Went out and had a lie down on a lake. No city lights and clear view in all directions. Saw like 1-2 per minute. But zero degrees fahrenheit doesn't fuck around...
