The Mayan calendar predicts many things accurately. It predicted the Iron Age, the medevil age, among other things. What it does not predict is doom. The calendar only ends, most likely, because the dumb spaniard who was there slaughtering and looting, destroyed 90% of the calendars. What we have is what survived. And it isn't much.

The historical writings of the Akakor tribe (friendly neighbor of the Mayans) said the Mayan calendar ended on December 25th of 2011 in "white barbarian time". The Akakor calendar started when the "sky gods" left for the last time some 6000 years ago and went up into the sky in their disks of gold. But also that the Mayan calendar was not created by the Mayan Indians, it was given to them also by these sky gods. The Anahim (sp) tribe said the same thing in their writings.

The Mayan calendar only speaks of the end of an age. Like the end of the Iron Age. There IS NO DOOM ASSOCIATED WITH THE MAYAN CALENDAR.

By the way, all of these tribes specifically say that the sky gods will return one day to further help humanity. All of the historical events coincidentally happened the same time the Annunaki were developing the Sumerian tribe half way around the world.

Final note, in the Chronicles of Akakor they specifically describe a massive flood caused by a red star with a tail that whipped earth as it went by.

For a fascinating read check out The Chronicle of Akakor by Karl Bruger.

I m affraid you are missing the point forget the Doom date. The Doom is already here and it is here to stay. just look around you dont need the mayan calender to work it out just open your eyes to what is going on in the world. Do you really need someone to point it out for you. Wars, new diseases, death of antibiotics, pillaging of natural resources, destructions of forest ect..

"2012 doom is a media hoax for sheeple"

1 problem with this theory, I don't know anyone that actually believes there will be doom in 2012. so i guess media fail?

That's not doom. That's just the end of an age.

Excellent post EXCEPT for this bullshit:

"All of the historical events coincidentally happened the same time the Annunaki were developing the Sumerian tribe half way around the world."

You are citing Sitchin's bullshit. NOT ONE person has translanted the ancient Sumerian cuneiform and come up with this translation except Sitchin.

That means Sitchin is FULL OF SHIT, just peddling his FICTIONAL books.

The Sumerians DID NOT NEED any "Annunaki" or anyone else; they brought their ancient knowledge WITH THEM.

According to the "Failed Media" panic has been reported in China and Russia, along with an explosion in sales of survival shelters in America. In France believers were preparing to converge on a mountain where they believe aliens will rescue them. Especially kids, some unable to eat and even contemplating suicide.

But, since you don't know them...

"We've gone from one a month to one a day," he said. "I don't have an opinion on the Mayan calendar but, when astrophysicists come to me, buy my shelters and tell me to be prepared for solar flares, radiation, EMPs (electromagnetic pulses) ... I'm going underground on the 19th and coming out on the 23rd. It's just in case anybody's right."
