Without the help of U.S. and NATO air power and the procurement of weapons from outside Libya (read: arab countries friendly to the West like Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, etc.), the rebels in Libya would never have been able to topple Libyan dictator Muammar Gadaffi.
Now today in the news we're told that Libya refuses to let the U.S. expand its search for those responsible for the Benghazi attacks. What's wrong with this picture? Libyan leadership should be asking "How high?" when we tell them to jump.
It seems to me the American government doesn't WANT to find out who was responsible. Or, we already know, and aren't interested in pursuing it.
This smacks further of a nefarious operation in Benghazi that the American government would rather not be aired publicly. Probably something to do with attempting to collect weaponry that we illegally gave to the Libyan rebels to fight Gaddafi's forces.
Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.
