Something like this almost happened here during the last very cold winter. A homeless searched shelter in a big container and slept there. Fortunately, the dump guys heard his screaming after they littered him in the crusher.

I know, and I'm not mad at the garbagemans, they are sitting in the same boat as we do. I'm mad at the people sitting in the yacht, watching us struggling in the life raft.

Every single day parents in India work for 15 pennies an hour to put food in the mouths of their children. But here in the west we give the homeless EVERYTHING!

Shelters, free food banks, food soups, food stamps, welfare, clothes, shoes, beds, phones, ciggarettes, alcohol, drug addiction support, even a job to help them stand on their own 2 feet.

And even if after all that free help, they decide to sleep in a can, well then, good luck!

I don't know the facts, but I think all the resources you mentioned might just be stressed out right now because demand is high. More and more jobless are becoming the homeless. There's only so much freebies to go around, especially when it comes to shelter. If all the beds are full, then they are full and you're out of luck.

Because a good society is filled with love and compassion for others regardless of wealth ; status in life.

By loving others and helping those in need ; one is growing spiritually...

WHy don't you go live in north korea where the poor and starving are dead and dying lying in the streets and no one gives a flying fuck.

Hey, I just went on a walk, there was a guy in a whellchair stuck in his van. His jacket had gotten tangled in the wheels and brakes of his chair.

The door was open, ramp down. He was stuck at the ramp. It's cold outside. I helped him get untangled and he was on his way. So I did my good deed for the day :)

That's a horrible way to go.
