This train of logic is destructive in many ways. Anonymity allows for one to speak whatever they want, no matter the worth (this post included, which will most likely induce hate quotes from registered users) without any major sort of worry about whether or not they can be traced, since there is no name to be searched and the IP address ends up eventually becoming another set of numbers in a list, one that is easily changed by a quick reset of the router. The moment someone ties an account- and its' name- to themself, it makes it much easier right off the bat to be searched. Imagine a new employer doing a background check, finding a mention of your username somewhere such as either another forum or social networking, and tracing it back here. Good luck getting hired.

Anonymity is one of the best things to rise with the digital age. Don't knock it until you try it.
