I'm not into christmas hats so my avatar is the christmas Huichol Peyote Deer.

The Huichol's are considered to be the masters of the peyote spirit in Mexico, and to them the spirit of the deer and the peyote are one in the same. According to them one must even hunt the peyote, which is a small cactus, with a bow and arrow, like a deer, and upon eating the heart of the deer, the peyote, one may be embodied with the deer spirit.

The hot dry months of winter in the Mexican central highlands is more of the peyote season, while the cool wet summer months are those of the mushrooms.
