I have been enrolled at three different Universities and this was the case at all of them. According to a legal guide published by Princeton University, students have the same Fourth amendment protections living on campus as they do off campus. However, the guide notes that some student housing agreements may provide some exceptions. |

Once the cops left he should of just shy the door but instead he followed them out, still running his mouth then they follow him into his room. They ask him to open his fridege and he gives the standard smart ass reply "how about you open the fridge" which gives the cop consent. Lol. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but if the cops saw him dump what they believed to be alcohol out of his window, isn't that probable cause to search his dorm or to get an RA to search it? I'm always happy to see people get over in the cops but when I see guys act like this student did, I really want to see them at their teeth smashed in.
