Their 'position' has always been for a diplomatic solution to be reached, what was said is that option is closing due to some alliances strategically recognizing the fsa as a legitimate alternative to Assad. Russia's position never changed, others did. I imagine the updates will include opposition to a NATO led no fly zone (sorry, carpet bombing as they did in Tipoli/benghazi) but that's all. Words are nearly through and actions , by the fsa and by NATO allied states will now determine Russia's 'position'. Not long now.
