Social workers are like soldiers, they have to follow orders from on high, or they will loose their jobs. People go into social work in the first place, because they want to help people. They have a caring mind-set.

HERSHEY, PA -- A new mother refused to inject her hours old infant with an STD vaccine developed for adults. A social worker was then sent to her hospital room where she was interrogated about why she preferred natural health care treatments. When her answers weren't satisfactory to the social worker, a uniformed police officer came to assist in seizing the infant from its mother.

I'm sorry, but I must disagree. Most of the tenured social workers I have dealt with are busy-bodies on power trips. Sure, it starts at the top, with people who have realized that the best way to remain employed and avoid conflict is to bow to the supremacy of the state, but it flows downhill. The bureaucrats at the top hire people under them who think alike so they don't have to worry about anyone upsetting any apple carts and it extends down from there.

Some of them will tell you that they stay with it because they believe they are bringing about change, but anybody with any conscience at all will be conflicted almost immediately and only stay in that system long enough to find employment elsewhere. All it will take is one experience with how it is to actually stand up for an individual's rights and they will depart post haste.

I didn't see if Annie was vaccinated against the will of her parents; anyone know?

If it was against the parent's/child's will, then that is definitely felonious assault.

I hope they didn't even if it means a buncha $$$ for the parents. If it was my child I wuld insist on looking at all paperwork for my child to be sure; I don't trust big bro at all.

There is no law that mandates vaccination. When you are dealing with a cop trying to ilegally take your child, you kill. It is simple. Because that woman was weak and stupid, her genetic lineage is destroyed forever. Survival of the fittest.

I told the nurses for all three of my kids that if any shots got near my kids I would hold them personally responsible. Their eyes got big as shit but they didn't fuck around either. I guarded my babies every second until we got early release.

I've worked with them. All are beyond evil.

I was just thinking the same. Thank heaven my youngest is now 25! We always had private pediatricians and specialists for her. And because I am a physician too, they would listen to, and discuss my preferences, etc. I would not allow them to use the combined vaccines on her and insisted that they special order the killed virus single disease versions that were much safer back then. Given that she's testing out with an IQ of 151 and her SAT's got her several scholarship offers, I guess we didn't destroy too many brain cells. Of course 25 years back they didn't have the crap in vaccines that they do today - and the earlier versions of single-disease vaccines may not even be available today at any price.

I'd be willing to bet a good deal of money that this woman was on Medicaid, not in a private hospital, and wasn't articulate enough to intimidate some scum-of-the-earth "social worker" who decided "the mother's answers were not good enough". If the woman had only had brains enough to say she was going to "delay" the vaccinations until she and baby were discharged and she could discuss it with her private pediatrician - they would have backed off immediately. Or she could have called the ACLU and gotten legal representation down there immediately and the discussion about her child and the vaccinations would have ended then and there. The poor who don't know how the games are played in the medical world end up getting screwed over by the "system" that was put in place to avoid child neglect or abuse. Sadly now "neglect" is defined as NOT doing what some idiot hospital says you "must" do.

I hope some lawyer contacts this woman and she gets her baby back and then they file a lawsuit against the hospital, it's employees, and the PD who assisted in this outrageous and probably illegal behavior!
