I understand the having a white fiance comment. It helps perpetuate the stereotype that all black men want white women. This stereotype was created during slavery, since the white wives would want to have relations with the slave, because they saw them as true men, since they were physical specimens. It was hard to say one is the dominant race, when their women did not believe so.

On the other subject, that was stupidity. Rob Parker (the guy who made the comments) is part of the problem. He, like the rest of the media, wants to do the black community a disservice by saying we all need to lumped into one ideology (voting democrat in this case). This lumping, has caused the loud and ignorant minority of the black community to be the representation of the whole community. If Rob Parker, was "down for the cause" as he states, he would be doing his best to show that the black community, like or racial communities have a wide range of vaules and economic statuses.

If Mr. Griffin, loves the women, and she loves him, then I wish them all the best, and I hope they raise children as well as his parents raised him. He can be a great representative for the black community as an intelligent athelete (much like Mr. Suh in Detroit, mechanical engineer).
