Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9520353 In the 1920s, they were reported to drown in huge numbers in Sydney Harbour, with tree branches bending into the water under the sheer weight of the massed beetles. [link to www.cosmosmagazine.com] They show up every year around Christmas time here in Oz, but man... this is RIDICULOUS. I've never seen them anywhere NEAR this bad. I'm afraid to go outside. They are harmless to the best of my knowledge. They stay away from the food, just walk around the ceiling, although we had one we gave up on trying to get rid of and he started landing on my husbands shoulder, and you could see his little pin head look up at him, like he was just hanging out.
