This is a horrific tragedy, but a ban on guns is not the answer.

When I was younger a dad approached his children's school and blew up a brave teacher who intentionally approached him to save many children and stopped him from getting into the school itself. He killed and injured many children in the playground. It was a custody dispute. Ban everything that could cause injury or death to others, oh wait it will always happen to the innocent. It is not the guns,knives etc;it is the person who uses poor judgement. Maybe if someone had a concealed on the school grounds the gunman could have been stopped. Millions of people own guns that do not go off on anyone. Anyone who wishes injury or death to an innocent will find a way! We need to stand up for our rights to protect our innocent ones. Take guns away and the criminals will run amuck!

This is so sad.
That being said, those who would outlaw guns because some go bezerk, many more people die in car accidents. Should we ban automobiles?!!!

This isn't the point. The founding fathers conceived it under the principle, not the weapon. There are other countries where people have these weapons, yet you don't hear about a "school shooting rampage" every year. America has a rather large rate of murders for a supposedly civilized country.

The gun is simply a tool, used to execute the criminal/madman/normal person's desire, its like saying that forks are the reason for fat people.

The problem is the people, not the gun.

Nothing like a school shooting, just before Christmas, in order to strike fear in the hearts of most parents. I don't believe any of these are "random" shootings. There is a much bigger agenda here.
