We should also remember that the victims of the man who did this horrible act aren't their son or brother. They are hurting too and will probably receive so much ridicule and loss because they were simply related to a murderer. Just keep it all in perspective guys. My prayers go to all the families. I work with kids and can't imagine losing one of them. Well, it's a little weird. I mean, if I'm so connected to Facebook, I must, by extension, be connected to the internet a lot as well. He would have known about the incident already. If someone said a perpetrator was identified with my name, killed people in my hometown, at my mother’s place of work, and I had a sibling with a severe developmental problem (who might have my ID), I might think there was some connection there (as would everyone else I know). I'm not paying attention to the outside world because its my job to get stuff done that doesn't concern that. If I got on my phone after work and saw all that I'd be confused and not understand. If you look at the shared links, most people don't mention the school or where it happened. Just under some lines of "here is the sicko that killed those children" I'm sure he figured it out quickly, but when your in a traumatic situation like that sometimes you aren't thinking straight. It might of been at the back of his mind and then slowly connected the dots. Also a lot of the stuff being reported like his mother was a teacher at that school is still unconfirmed by police and hasn't formally been announced by them. |

| IssueX User ID: 14348632 United States12/14/2012 10:35 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is all so sad, and if you know that part of Connecticut, almost surreal I lived in Newtown for over 10 years, near Hawleyville, and there really is a sense in all of those towns...Redding, Bethel, Weston, Easton, Brookfeld etc that we're largely untouched by the problems of the rest of the country. It really has been an idyllic place to raise a family, if dull for the kds We rarely locked our doors when we lived there, and twice I dropped my wallet (once it fell out in the local movie theatre parking lot) and both times it was returned with nothing removed... Newtown is a pretty small place, almost everyone knows everyone else by at least name or sight, especially if they're involved with the school I cannot comprehend the horror and heart breaking pain felt by the parents and friends. I can only offer condolences, because I cannot personally imagine the pain  |
