My theory based on news provided, police radio chatter indicated broken front glass at front of school. Visitors had to be buzzed in, shooter(s) was/were denied access and therefore shot glass for entry. Most likely shooting door attendant in the process.(1) Upon entry to main office, shooter(s) encounter 4 personnel and shoots them all.(4) Then proceeds to room 1. Finds teacher and kids huddled in corner. Shoots teacher(1) and then proceeds to shoot the kids while they are in a huddled mass.(20)

That accounts for 6 adults and 20 children.

My heart goes out to the families involved in this horrific tragedy and my prayers are with them.

This is just my take on it based on what I have gleaned from the press and GLP.

I am still curious though, who was the camouflaged person removed from the woods in handcuffs? And why is the press not talking about him anymore?

I can only add that in upper Fairfield county there are just a few companies which most people I met seemed to work for, and GE capital was one of them...AIG in Wilton another.

However, there are a couple of defense industry companies nearby, like Barden in Danbury and these in Sandy Hook:

fwiw, Newtown and Brookfield got very expensive to live in in recent years, and you needed to work at one of the handful of financial or insurance companies in order to afford the cost of living

Also, many of the people who worked for GE capital in that area were in the periphery of the company, hardly line...not like someone working in Greenwich directly with a financial mover and shaker

ironic, because Newtown used to be the home of one of the largest state facilities for the mentally ill, a place called Fairfield Hills

It looks like an idyllic campus set on acres and acres of rolling hills, but town rumor was that it was haunted as hell

The place was closed down as an asylum about 15-20 years ago, and about 10 years ago the town offices of Newtown were moved into former asylum buildings, something I always found a bit creepy:
