on the one hand i agree that a ban on guns wouldnt fix this, but there really should be far, far more stringent and regular checks on gun owners mental health, at least that way you are doing as much as possible to limit the possibility of repeat like this
this happened ONCE in the uk, and they banned handguns, but there wasnt a fuss really because british people dont feel the need to own a gun, unlike many americans
its definitely a cultural thing
it just amazes me that this keeps happening, and people weep, and then shrug it off til it happens again

'mass?' its a lot harder to spray a room or pick someone off at a distance with a knife i didnt say a gun ban was the answer, i said more and better check ups on prospective owners and what about that other regular event, young kids accidentally killing themselves with their parents gun? whatever you think, a lot of this shit is avoidable, and i cant for the life of me get my head around a nation that accepts children dying as some sort of collateral damage in the name of the right to defend yourself. seems like america is in denial, or fixed on the spot, unsure of how to tackle this problem
