That seems to be a correct assesment so far -- I have drawn the same preliminary conclussions from the information currently available.

However, I would point out that the Chief of State Police is still purposefully not naming the shooter and saying that his identity is still under investigation.

Ugh.. I sure hope they counterbalance it with a dedication page on the lil kids. I know they have their own personalities by now and probaly the parents will talk about their Christmas lists their kids made and their favorite food and toys.
