I refuse to take any gun lover seriously unless they're willing to admit that the problem with guns is that they make killing EASY. I understand the desire to hang on to your guns and the right to protect yourself, I'm not interested in seeing you disarmed, but if you can't admit that a gun makes it much easier to kill than any other method then you obviously can't find any legitimate reasons to hang on to them, so you resort to denial.
While we're on this subject, I was looking up uk gun statistics the other night. There are over 2 million legal guns here. We outgun our police and military COMBINED. That is a direct result of gun control, because our police don't need to be armed. So don't be fooled into thinking that our gun control has left us defenseless against our government.
In Scotland alone there is one gun for every 24 people, but hardly any shootings.

Muzzle loaders are now the only legal useable handguns available to UK shooters (apart from the historic cartridge firing handguns kept at designated sites)
I'm sure your not "defenseless" using muzzle loading rifles and pistols, air rifles and collectables against the Military with full auto rifles and pistols!!!!
