Our forces generally don't kill us over little things. Do you know why? Because they aren't scared we're going to pull a gun. Watching police shows based in the US shows that your citizens and your police don't feel "safer" because of the presence of guns. You're all shit scared of each other. When a car backfires outside my house I don't have to look out the window to see who's been shot, I know its a car backfiring.

Who are you more frightened of? Your government, police, or countrymen? All of the above? If you were in a building and everyone there was carrying concealed, would you feel oh so safe, or would your trigger finger be itching, just waiting for the moment you need to "protect" yourself?

If one of the teachers at sandy hook had a gun, what makes you so sure they would be a crack shot able to take down an armored man carrying an AR in a stressful situation? Its like you think having a gun turns you into an immortal superhero.

For one thing, a teacher simply wouldnt be just given a gun, they would have been trained to operate it,and how to handle the situation. a few shots fired in the direction of the shooter would have made him take pause, and find cover, his training was limited to Halo3 or some shit.a gun doesnt have to kill to save lives. If more than one teacher had been armed, he would have been faced with a true dilemna, unlike what the news pretends to know, his AR was not a machine gun, he was also not a skilled soldier that was used to reloading it under fire, after his mag was empty he could have been an easy target.

Yeah good point. Although doesn't the story go that his mother trained him to shoot? Obviously that's not military training, but some experience. The only problem is that even with properly trained teachers taking a child hostage would leave a sticky situation. Not a lot of teachers would risk hitting one of their kids. I guess nothing is fullproof really.
