LoA is a slippery slope. Be careful, by walking that path you can end up losing more than you think. The LoA does seem to work opposite for some, and this was proven with scientific testing. Creation is very powerful, and respect/knowledge is a must.

An interesting topic OP.

Gratitude for what we have is a virtue we all need to develop more of. Interestingly, the more gratutide, in the way of giving thanks for all that we have, actually brings about more blessings to for us.

Perhaps having gratitude keeps us in a positive state of mind & when we are generous & give to others, it completes the circle of giving & receiving.

Agreed OP! God knows what you need and if you are sincere, and pray for others, God will provide for you. Just my thoughts. BTW, I'm not what is often spoken in this forum, "a Christard"!

It's not useless. I bet today of all days more than a few parents are thanking our creator right now for what they have..their children and aren't concerned at all as to things they might need. It's a good day today and everyday to be grateful and thank our creator.

It would kinda make sense to me. It seems that good things happen to bad people and bad things to good people. Those who screw people over seem to get ahead fast. I'm still trying to figure out the laws of the universe. There is something deeper we need to pay attention to. And the simple law of attraction does not work like the movie "secret" promised. Of it did, there wouldn't be so many books and shelters out there selling more law of attraction gimmicks.

The reason LOA often works in opposite manner is because most people can only focus on their LACK of what they want rather than the feeling of ABUNDANCE that will attract their desires.

Even then, reality is more complex than any system can teach. Simply wishing for something is not enough.

The law of attraction has been in the public domain for at least 100 years. True, only a handful of people were aware of it. And then the movie "the secret" comes along to pad the pockets of smart business men.

Either way, us little people are NO better off since the movie. People are still scrambling trying to figure out what and how to use the Laws of the Universe. The only people benefiting from the laws of the universe are the "insiders," and they ain't gonna tell us sheep how the game gets won.

Therefore, the movie was just a diversion from a bigger truth.

Just focusing on (and feeling) abundance doesn't make you abundant.

So what is it you have?

Please understand that not everyone is a Christian. There are other religions who fully understand the concept of gratitude & generosity.

I hope this thread can remain open for all people to share their ideas on this subject without turning it into a "religious" thread......that would be so nice, & I for one would be "grateful".
