I homeschool my kids. I don't understand the purpose of bringing children into this world only to turn around and let someone else take care of them day after day, all day, out of sight. I am the mother, it is my job to teach and raise my children to make sure they are safe and successful. The children are our future...people really want to leave that to a bunch of strangers?

Today, more than ever, I am thankful that I have the opportunity to stay home and raise my kids and homeschool them.

I also believe that there are so many misconceptions about homeschooled kids. It is far superior to public school. My kids are 4 and 5 and already on subtraction in math and my 5 year old is reading and my 4 year old is on his way to reading. They are beyond Kansas State Standards for Kindergarten but the public school here would not even allow my daughter to start Kindergarten until she is 6 years old because of her birthday. THey are also well socialized. School is not meant to be for making friends and who wants friends like that anyway? (the kinds of kids in school today!)
