When I play I often get into a state where I'm not technically aware of what I'm playing. I feel as though I'm just a channel for the music to flow through. My hands are are moving on their own, it seems. It's a state that I strive to get to every time I play. It certainly doesn't happen every time but when it does it's special. It's the reason I play. Once I'm in that state it takes a few moments to return to reality when the song finishes. Again, a very spiritual-like experience.

Mind you, this only happens with songs I'm very familiar with but the state of mind when this happens seems like I'm a step closer to something other-wordly.

Exactly!!! i strive for that state every session!!

Still alott of proof for music touching the soul, healing,uplifting it, it sure has influence on the state of mind.


even animals, plants react to music, with plants classical and metal gave the best results, but that's because of the complexity( no not all of them)

but still nothing that answered it, i wanna know can music bring you closer to god?


i know i takes perseverance to learn an instrument, patience too, cramps depending on the instrument, or training muscles you didn't knew existed...


it changes the way you think, the speed you can process things, recent studies have showed that piano/guitar/violin players use alott more of the left and right side simultanously, so music sure changes us...

Answer me this:

Why does evil exist within music? Why do evil people control the music industry? Why do you hear "satan" talking perfect sentences when songs are played backwards? I never believed in the backwards music thing until my friend played some led zeppelin songs and other old rock and roll songs. It was shocking to hear so much information coming through songs played backwards that America has listened to for generations.

I love music. I don't understand the evil people that control it now, or the evil messages in music, though.

Can someone help me make sense of this?

I am that I am.. I consider myself to be music more than anything else, I spend a huge amount of my time creating and producing electronic music, or in meditation and sleep to music and sonic vibrations, or i'll study the arts in some way or another...


Living in a world such as this, and living like I do, I'm gonna go all martyr on myself, but damn if it's not really fucking tricky sometimes to get by and make sense of my life in this world and in this reality.. sometimes


Within and without all of that however. Music is where I abide, it is where i am completley present and in the know, part of the creative process that is unfolding within and with me and the reality i am in (studio, computer, keyboard, etc)

well well sooo why does it save souls ?


When you have been deeply into the creative process, literally getting at it for hours on end, no break, time ceases to exist and any concerns or worries about the who know and the what know of the weekend is long gone...there is a space created where magical and wonderful things can happen.. i'll put it in words like this: there is a space opening, with deep breath and posture, you can in this creative space open up a portal, a portal between the infinite and the finite, between the godhead and yourself. it's a very deep meditation, it's tantric energy being brought up from the very core of being, it's streaming through the energy vertices and chakras of the body, with a strong creative drive the effort and energy is there, all the three lower chakras are already locked and in focus, as the hearth opens there is immense deep deep gratitude and happiness and abundance and thankfulness for the ability and the possibility to be in this creative stance, it goes deeper and deeper, immense joy and laughter and dance is taking it's form and play, all the while deep tears of joy and gratitude stream from the eyes and the third eye, and a sincere serene feeling of "DAMN IT I WISH YOU ALL WHERE HERE TO GET THIS FRIGGIN THING" is present...

that's a possible outcome for what can happen when you get into it.. That is healing, atleast for me, and without music I would not be where I am today or as composed and able to manage life as it is. Music was my first love and will be my last love, it is my refuge and meditation... it is my greatest gift I can give to others..

also, when you dabble further into it. You'll come across the Pythagorean tuning vs the contemporary western one (i smell a deep conspiracy here) Solfeggio frequencies, healing modalities, vibration and physics study, cymatics, and the list goes on.. the mystery deepens and you get a sense that there is some sort of master code that you can unlock with sonic vibration that'll activate each and every individual into full blown out of body experiences and spiritual uplifting... tantric dance, to specific sequences and arrangement of vibrations tuned to the universe.. that's where i'm going with my studies.. to one day unlock that code.
