I just finished reading his book last week. It's not like anything anyone could imagine. I strongly recommend it.
Quoting: Life and Love the portion where he is in the underground murky region... most interesting to me. it seems to describe hades in as perfect a form as possible I can believe scripture writers would select the then commonly-used word "hades" with its secular connotations to describe this murky region. I don't know if the interview included this part or not, but Eben said that after awhile he was easily able to leave that region (be "raised" from it) into what he would later label as "heaven." i think he describes it as being "rescued" but he also said it felt like he was down there for millenia
