This is the point:

A few students were killed at a U.S school some years ago.

A few years later, about 12 were killed.

This time 26 were killed.

Eventually, and for argument's sake, if there was a coordinated shooting massacre of 10,000 kids across America, would the right to bear arms still exist?

Another user on here made a valid point of saying if the answer is "yes" then the Government should consider that one day those victims may not be civilians.

This is a hypothetical that shows how supporting a "slippery-slide" law/issue can actually turn out quite badly for the people enforcing those laws.

A historical hypothetical is like a King in ages past who allows the Peasants who hate him to carry thousands of swords made from the finest steel. What do you think will happen when they're provoked?

This is not just an issue of keeping guns out of schools, or banning just automatic weapons. Anyone with even a simple handgun can cause carnage.

This is an issue of whether the political elites are prepared to pay the ultimate price as a result of their indifference. Times are tough and getting tougher. Extreme times call for extreme measures, and one day, given the right circumstances and planets aligning, this may fall back on them.

I am personally objective when it comes to gun-control. I believe that there are pros and cons for the arguments going both ways. What concerns me today, however, is that 20 kids have died and there will be those out there saying it was a false flag, a psy-op, aliens or brainwashing.

That, to my mind, is a desperate attempt to emotionally separate oneself from the carnage of children while supporting an ill-fated Amendment.

How many more innocent children must die?
