I'm with you OP, I'm a 37yr old guy living in Ontario, Canada and I'm so so sick of the thought train that "Gun control works". This summer we even had a politician trying to ban the possession of guns, the sale of guns and the sale and or possession of ammunition in the Toronto area. Why? cause we had two serious incidents in which criminal gang members had a gun fight at a BBQ and another incident in which a gang member shot another gang member at a large indoor mall. FYI, the gang member who shot up the mall was on probation or parole.

My point? gun control only takes guns out of the hands of responsible law abiding citizens. Not a single criminal that has a gun, owns it legally. Instead the criminals know that they are the only ones with guns and as such, can scare and steal without worry a citizen would fight back or shoot the son of a bitch in the face for attempting to target them. It's horseshit. Canada does allow hand guns, but the hoops you gota jump through to get them is ridiculous. Recently we had a long gun registry, in which all long guns had to be registered even after you had to show ID, take courses and go through a background check when buying one. It's a joke cause only the criminals have guns. A lot of our police who carry guns daily, can't even get a private carry license to own or carry a hand gun outside of their work as a peace officer. Seriously? 12 hours a day they have one strapped to their sides and a shotgun up front with assault rifles in trunk, yet they can't even own a handgun outside of work? It's ridiculous.

I can promise this, if these criminals had to worry that any citizen could be carrying a gun, they would not have the balls to attempt a broad daylight mall shooting. The same people who want to ban guns, are the same people who think kids playing "cops and robbers" is emotionally scarring and kids need head shrinkers to get over not getting the most expensive toy for Christmas when they where 6yrs old.

Gun control will only guarantee that the only people who have guns, are the ones who shouldn't.

I know in my heart that they will use these dead children like politicians use all of us and all of our dead for their political agendas. This time, I fear they will push the issue to disarm America, and I can't help but wonder how many more children will die when the parents who refuse to be disarmed are gunned down by those same "law enfocement" people. Those SWAT, DHS, ATF, ABC whatevers that to date have saved NOT ONE victim from the massacres that have happened. NOT ONE perp shot before he can kill another, NOT ONE, NOT ANYONE saved as they parade around with their macho zuit suits and weapons. THEY will be the ones that kick down the doors of Joe Q Public as they move in the future to disarm the "gun toting" Americans in an effort to stem gun violence. THAT is where they will earn their chest thumping rights, NOT in the hills of Afghanistan or the deserts of Iran, but at home, here in America.

Let us hope that they kill us quickly and not rape and torture us first, please give us at LEAST, that!
