If TPTB follow the logic of "guns don't kill people...people kill people" they will not risk personal political futures by attacking our right to have guns.

They would start a national campaign to identify and classify any of the "types" of individuals who might carry out a mass shooting.

The general public will be encouraged to turn in any names of likely suspects. Police, teachers, doctors, psychiatrists, priests, preachers, even pizza delivery guys will be "required" to make a report on someone they have encountered who is clearly working in a vacuum of some sort.

Just like in Germany when kids were asked to turn in their parents who talked about politics at home. Teachers could ask for essays once in a while about things like "Who do I know who is "spaced out?" or "Who scares you the most in the whole town?" Even "Who is your favorite crazy person?"

Just think of how many jobs would be created! Following nuts, watching nuts, hauling in nuts, "housing" nuts, collecting nuts...you get the idea. Finding a really "bad" nut may even get you a reward.

TPTB might start up some nice big "farms" where the mentally ill would be taken care of and get good healthy meals. They could get their meds and live happier lives...surrounded by other "odd balls."

More jobs would be available to the rest of us; Now vacant jobs like Police, teachers, doctors, psychiatrists, priests, preachers and of course...pizza delivery guys.

Can't take the country back 50 years. These days, respecting 'authority' will get you tasered, shot, raped, jailed, etc., because the 'authorities' have all been compromised. This includes the police, courts, military, educators, et al. Parents are too busy, drunk or drugged to care - if a child knows who his/her parents are in the first place.

Once a culture starts down the road to depravity, there's no turning back. History is repeating itself once again. There will be an enormous crisis (example: WWII) and then the cycle will begin again in regards to being civil citizens et al. Fast forward 50 years from that point, and it'll be the same society we have today.

Well there must be a way to break this cycle and restore our values and hold tight to them. Not allow it to fade away each time. This is a point of dispair. I cannot imagine the grief of those families. There must be a way to set things right and not let it all get to this point again.
