Uncaring parents drive kids to video games.

Yea, unfortunately...

I play a lot of video games, I know the "peaceful escape" feeling all too well.

Yea blame blame blame you goody two shoes. The rest of us gotta deal with the kid and his actions. i'd rather point and laugh at him...making fun of him and hoping one day the kid fixes himself...if not it's whatever. He soon realizes his own worth after blaming the adults, ha ha ha. That look is precious.

Oh, and most video games promote violence. Of course addicts will always defend their drug of choice...

yup, and you know what the next addiction is for lifetime video gamers? Porn.

Hey, its your mind, fill it with garbage and thats what you'll give back to a society.

Gaming and porn are not going anywhere and generate billions while weakening minds and destroying lives.

Ask a gamer to give up games for a month....see what happens when they don't get their fix.

Watch-it will be announced that Adam was an avid COD and/or Halo player and summaize this is what led him to carry out this cold-blooded massacre.

Men who play video games are an embarassment to a society....they are not real men.

What say you about the military and their "games"? You don't think they use video games? Oh, that's right, we know they do.

Make sure that those you want to play these games with are ready to play with you.

The parents got a divorce when the kid was a teen - there was probably a lot of fighting going on in the home - a lot of back-stabbing between parents and placing the kid in the middle. You know it was bad if the 24-year-old brother hadn't had contact in a couple of years.

The kid was a goth - didn't that send up some red flags to the parents - especially when he has a history of mental problems? Likely, they had him on a number of prescriptions over the years without even trying to figure out what was causing his problems - merely taking the easy way out and treating with pharmaceuticals, some of which can have severe negative side effects well past when they are discontinued.

Then, what does mom do? She buys all sorts of guns which are available to the 20-year-old with mental problems. He lives at home at twenty? No training for a job? OK, tell me that these parents didn't screw up this kid.

Like I said, I've been working with such kids for years - it's ALWAYS the parents.

I think the video games are a tool to TPTB to get you to depersonalize killing.

I expect to see a sharp rise in this random kinda tragedy.

We all grow up in different households with different lives. We go through many stages within our lives too. And when we grow up, we can make our own decisions based on whatever reasons we have despite how good or bad our upbringing was. What it really comes down to is what does our heart tell us? Do we follow the right thing or the wrong thing? Are we willing to let go of our own beliefs of what we think is right or wrong to follow a more loving, compassionate and peaceful life? Are we also learning to set proper boundaries among each other - including our parents, children, family members, bosses, workers,friends, neighbors,etc. - so that the other person who have pushed too far can step back and realize that they can't always have it their way? Are we willing to step back when we find ourselves pushing our own beliefs and will onto someone else? When we start to realize the real truth of what is right or wrong, we will know deep within our hearts. There won't be any anger, jealousy, arrogance, but just a knowing that it is the 'right thing to do'.

guys that play video games, are schizo and on meds, have no facebook , have a gun or access to gins and post on forums all day long are highy suspect of future violent behavior and are usually the creepy guys you avoided in high school.
