Excellent post OP i thought of that also when i first heard of the news.
I'l tell you my story with Prozac when i was about 19 or 20 years old I was having some problems with drugs and just made some wrong choices in life at that point. My parents took me see a psychiatrist. After speaking with me for about 30 minutes he prescribe Prozac. I started taking it after about a month maybe two I noticed wild mood swings. I went from feeling absolutely great one day to horrible depression the next. It was one of these days that I felt absolutely down and out I was arguing with my girlfriend at the time for a while I got this thought in my head that i wanted to end it all. Before that i never thought about killing my self even when things were absolutely horrible. I ran into the kitchen grabbed a big butcher knife and slice my left hand. I didnt just cut the veins i cut the artery and all my tendons. So there you go I dont know if i put all the blame on prozac I mean my life wasn't exactly great at the time but I think it had something to do with that.

Now instead of blaming guns for this I think we should put some blame on pharmaceutical companies and their drug dealers...doctors. They start pumping children with these chemicals at a very early age a lot of the times its a cocktail of drugs. So when you are taking it for 5 10 15 years and then you snap who's to blame for that? They are extremely hard to stop using and there is no detox for it you just have to man up and suffer the withdrawals.
