Not every citizen is a gun-totin', beer-drinkin', line-dancin', boot and cowboy hat-wearin', right-wing conservative. No but that is one of the things some of us admire of the Texas stereotype. I sleep better at night knowing that the bad guys KNOW we have guns we WILL use if they get past the dogs. I do live in Texas and while you do not always see the guns, you KNOW people have them, and if you don't have enough, the neighbors do and will cover your back for the asking. While it is unfortunate that someone used guns to commit a heinous crime in CT, it still does not mean that kind of behavior would be eliminated if there were no guns. They could easily have made a box full of devices which could have been destructive too. Its better to have guns and permits to conceal carry and training so that there is a way to fight the real criminals. |

You don't see people walking into a gun store or police station and start shooting. why? because everyone in there has a gun. These murders are cowards and go to "gun free zone" places like movie theatres, malls and schools because there is no one there to shoot back at them. so either give the teachers tasers and hand gun training. for 250.00 you can have a biometric safe that will only open for the teacher. You will never see another school shooting again because the cowardly murderers will go somewhere else. |
