Mothers . . . potentially one of the most dangerous entities in America - STOP enabling
No one knows all the details of the Connecticut shooting yet and I'm not making assumptions - many of you believe it is a psyop, beyond any doubt . . . but if it's actually the story it appears to be on the surface as reported thus far, who here wants to bet that this person had a long history of some form of uncontrollable violent, or potentially violent, behaviors and that the mother in some way, like millions of mothers of criminal males, covered for him, pampered him, babied him, protected him, cowered down, and/or failed to take a strong stand and either force him to get help, failed to press charges or have him committed, failed to STOP ENABLING the bad behaviors.

It is a known fact that mothers of boys too often protect them. They believe, mistakenly, that being a good mother means not letting their son go to jail or be committed to a mental health facility, they falsely believe that they alone can make them be a better person, or often, they are just outright afraid of them and therefore, let them get away with anything.

Fathers tend to be more stern, less patient, less enabling, but are generally emotionally overpowered by mothers who demand that their baby not be treated like a criminal.

Consider how many crimes, non-violent and violent, committed by males over the past 4 decades could have been averted altogether if mothers had done a better job of mothering, if they had been more sensible and less emotional, if they had been a real parent instead of trying to be a buddy or allow free reign so they wouldn't be considered too strict.

Consider how different the criminal pattern in this country might be if mothers spent more time at home, more time being involved in their son's lives, made more effort to actually know what they are doing.

What kind of parent doesn't know their kid is building bombs in his room, or doing drugs, or running with some pack of thugs?

What kind of parents don't know where their kids are all the time?

What kind of mother KNOWS her underage son is smoking pot, is mentally disturbed, and/or has clearly violent tendencies and does NOTHING to stop it, and actually ENCOURAGES it by the mere fact that she does nothing?

It's all about enabling - an epidemic factor in America, the degree of which is appalling, disgusting, disturbing.

Being a good parent means you NEVER enable.

Being a good mother means that when you KNOW there's a problem with your child, you have a moral and lawful obligation to take appropriate steps to force them to get help or prosecute them for their actions - and you do no one any good when you fail to do and choose instead to protect and harbor.

Parenting is perhaps THE most important career . . . and the level of failure is too high in America.

See, this thread dropped to page two . . . because people want to focus on psyops and gun control . . . rather than considering what may be the core issue, one that could be preventable if only parents - specifically mothers - would begin to parent properly, sensibly, less emotionally, and more responsibly.

There's no justification for children being killed in wars - NO justification at all.

But this thread is specifically about mothers of criminal sons in this country and how they are failing to parent properly and are essentially accomplices in crime.

Today fathers bitch and whine how OVERPOWERED FATHERS REALLY HAVE BECOME, at the home, the job and by the government.

Grow some balls for your wife and kids and take control.

When good men and women do nothing and let a system rule their lives and children, this is what happens to the very safety they can't protect. You and yours.

Your responsible for your own actions. Stop blaming others while you do nothing to change it and make it right.

That's right men, show some balls and do exactly what this person says. Be sure to take on "the home, the job and... ... the government."

Wondering OP if you are male or female?

Lots of single parent mothers out there, having been deserted by the fathers of their children.

How tough that must be, to raise your children alone and having to work full time to support them.

I haven't walked in their shoes and I'm guessing you haven't either.

Yes, there are a variety of tough circumstances which millions of people go through . . . you have no idea my experiences just as I have no idea yours . . . but there is NO justification whatsoever for ANY mother to harbor a criminal just because he happens to be her son.

Until mothers begin acting responsibly and acknowledging that their little babies are not innocent and are in reality very troubled and dangerous beings, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to determine that horrible and violent acts will continue around the nation. Mothers are going to have to come forward and either demand their sons get help, commit them to facilities, or prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law before they do something more heinous. There never has been, nor will there ever be, an excuse for enabling by parents.

That's right mothers. The fate of civilization depends on your finely tuned narcing skills, and shrewd opinion of what your captive menfolk are engaged in.

You brought them into this world and you can take them out. It's just a late, late-term abortion is all.

And remember mothers, if you can get the cops to shoot your menfolk for you, there's no crime!

Psychopathic tendencies manifest at 15 years old. This is true for some other psychosis. Many people don't know this. I know who two horrific murders committed by two different people: one was 17 and one was 15. I don't know these guys, btw. Oh, no gun was used during either one of the aforementioned murders. They both used improvised weapons found at the scene.

But, so many kids can have issues that don't lead to them being violent. When that switch occurs, I think it's hard to see. Also, is there a good place to even put these people (the ones who have not yet committed any serious crime)? Some place where, on their more sane days, they can have at least some fun (remember, I mean the ones who are just crazy, but haven't hurt anyone)?

And many people don't know the difference between a neurotic or a psychotic. A neurotic is a nervous or depressed person, for example. A psychotic has the potential to break from reality. Not all of them attack people, of course.

First of all, unlock caps.

Mothers ARE first and foremost responsible for their kids because they bring them into the world.

And yes, mothers more often than not ENABLE their kids, especially sons for some reason . . . they either baby them or give in to them, sometimes out of fear, but they never seem willing to acknowledge that junior is sick, disturbed, dangerous . . . even though they may witness it on a regular basis. And when they enable criminal or even potential criminal behaviors, they are doing a great injustice to ALL of society.

Do you think the mother is culpable for the murders?

She apparently knew for a long time her son was sick and yet, he was not committed or institutionalized.

Do you realize how insane it is for ANY parent of a disturbed child to have weapons in the house?

Although she is deceased (if this whole story is what they claim, which it likely is not), the mother is very much responsible for what her son did because she had been the primary parent and he lived with her once he was an adult.

Beyond that, the father should be investigated for his role as a parent. But I still believe that mothers are ultimately more responsible for harboring criminal sons.

I agree with much of what you say, but having a stable family environment with a mother AND a father is the biggest problem. My sister fits the mould for what you are saying - she has a 6 ft. 1 250 lb. giant 19 year old at home that never finished 8th grade. Just a big ole lump of humanity that can't even wipe is ass and definitely needs psychological help. BUT - his father never showed up to pick him up from school and never came home. Ran off with his hairdresser years ago. No strong male figure to bond with or learn from. Mothers aren't all to blame. It takes a mother AND a father to raise a child, and sometimes, even that doesn't turn out right. I had wonderful loving parents who both disciplined and encouraged us to be all we could be - whatever it was. But they still ended up with two useless kids who are absolute nutjobs. They chose the wrong friends, developed screwy ideas - sometimes it's just in the cards.

I know Lifetime Movie Network and others like to portray every bad or evil person as someone who had problems with their parents or youth - but a lot of times it wasn't reality - it was the child/person's own PERCEPTION of something that became their problem. Not their reality.

I think it goes beyond the mother. She herself was enabled by the legal system which set her up for life, not having to work or interact with society in any responsible manner, free to pursue her insane lifestyle, collecting alimony from the exhusband, who was an actual responsible, sane person, but probably, because of the legal system, had very little say in what she did or how she raised her freak son.

but yes, historically, mothers' will protect sons - they hate whatever woman their son gets involved with - see the woman as a slut and not worthy of her son. Not all - my mother loved my sister - in - law, but I would have to say mothers who have mostly sons or only sons ar more likely to be this way. If their girlfriend gets pregnant, mother tells her son to tell the girl to have an abortion or deny he's the father...they will even cover up rape and incest.

Actually my mother always said "Never trust a mother with only boys, and beware of men who don't have sisters. Their world is completely different."

Yes, having a stable environment with two smart, loving, caring parents is the ideal. But certainly not the norm today, it seems. It's not a Ward and June Cleaver kind of society, is it?

I do not disagree with anyone here that it can be difficult for a mother when the father skips out . . . but the main point I'm trying to make is that mothers, whether there's a father around or not, MUST acknowledge when their sons are sick or evil and dangerous, and either get help, have them committed, or press charges so they can be prosecuted and possibly rehabilitated.

When they fail to do that, they put themselves and society at risk, and that's not right. Parenting is the foundation of human society. I'm not saying that a bad parent will always have a bad child or that a good parent will always have a good child . . . there's no guarantee, that's for sure. I'm just saying that when mothers KNOW there's a problem, they must take positive action.

Appears to be a disturbing trend of young males who are mentally ill and dangerous with out-of-control anger issues. Makes you wonder if it's a DNA or hormone mutation thing going on in society.

From an article It's Time to be Men Again....
Where are the men who will throw down the remote or skip the gym to mow the elderly man’s grass next door? Where are the men who care enough to voluntarily shovel a walkway for the single mom down the street? Consumed by pursuing their own satisfactions, they have let their families, communities and their country down.
------------

It’s time for American men to shake off their Monday Night Football grog and do some soul searching. It’s time to realize that working and scrimping for 18 years to send your child to a liberal institution of higher learning is not the greatest gift you can give him.

Reading the Bible to your children, leading by example by helping others, talking about how Uncle Al was treated when he came home from Vietnam, or how Grandpa fought his way across Omaha Beach – these are the things that are being exchanged for a fleeting buzz from a basketball game going into overtime. As we pass from this life and evaluate our stay here, it will not be the final score from a NFL game that flashes through our minds in our final moments.
