The Andromeda Galaxy With The Unaided Eye

If it's dark enough the central region of Andromeda can be seen with the unaided eye.
Andromeda is bigger than the Moon but only the central region is bright enough to be seen.

Andromeda covers only about 1/4,000,000,000 of the distance between us every year, so its motion is not something any observer would notice over even many lifetimes.
Its speed relative to us was determined by measuring the Doppler shift in the light from its stars.

yep, we're gonna collide with it in about 4 billion years, but there will actually be very few actual collisions

it'll be a gravity/light spectacular, that earth will be lucky to survive, but we'll be being swallowed up by the sun by then anyway probably

Why is it, that the center is only visible, if galactic centers are supposedly blackholes? Is the light we're seeing from the center just when some sought of explosion that occurred millions/billions of years ago?

YES that is why i cant sleep, i worrie about that date,it totally consumes my every thought

Well I see it every night when I walk outside is why I was asking. Thank you for all the responses. I will see if GLP will let me forward this thread to the year 20billion12. I just hope The Andromeda Galaxy isn't actually approaching in real time.
