you need and access point. generaly comes with most routers.


Look on the manufacturer website for a update of your wireless adapter.

if you using a laptop it should be already configured correctly.

if not,go to the support website of the manufacturer of your laptop and dowload lastest wireless drivers.

Then you need to configurate your acces point. (router)

To do this you need the adress of the router and type it in the address bar.

default settings should let you in easyly.

just out of curiosity are you using windows 8?

If you got wireless internet and need help, CALL THE COMPANY.

go to your computer makers website and enter in your model. go to drivers and downloads and go under networking. there you will find your wireless card driver files. reinstall and restart the computer and you should be fine.

If you are using a laptop make sure the wireless is on. either a switch on the outside of the machine or fn F2. If that is not the problem, remove and re-install the driver.

Better solution is to get rid of windows and install linux.

Router or did your internet provider provide a modem/router?

Plug it in to your pc and wait 30 seconds then go on your browser and enter the router's IP address and setup your security.

If you just got a wireless card then you should have got the drivers on the CD in the package.

Maybe re-install your os?

when using a 4g usb adapter from roger or anything like it you need to install the software that comes with it...

oh and it will only work on 4G networks. So you need to be close to a 4g network.

Just because it shows up doesn't mean the signal is good enough to actually transfer packets.
get a booster antenna or learn how to make one yourself.

I'm not sure what's going on here. Does your wireless adapter show up in Device Manager? Is it turned on?

Don't think that is correct, it should work with any preceding networking standards (e.g 3G networks)

3g cards would not work on 4g networks thought.

but 4g is not wifi, its different.

btw all technology made for the public are deseigned to be controled by the DOD. So off course it's all crap.

ok 3/4g = a type of network, usually small mobile devices like this - phones and junk.

a router is / can be wireless also - and a different network than a 3/4G - I would say 3/4G network "hardware" (card, adapter, thingy) would NOT connect to LAN from a ROUTER - they want to actually avoid it and connect to 3/4G which is ONLY coming from Towers or local repeaters if set up to receive / transmit.
