I went to school with a girl whose mother was once a school teacher but decided to home school their 7 kids. Each kid graduated in the Top 10 percent of their high school class and they all played a musical instrument.

Really, both of mine were and the both graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Texas, who by the way, offered them big scholarships to assure they would attend that University. They were fought over by the top schools and some Ivy League. One is a full attorney now and has just finished a stint in NYC and has chosen Portland cause it's more "organic" to his taste and had the pick of what he wanted out there.
