It's not just the Mayan calendar pointing us to this point in time. Many people think the measurements of the Great pyramid in Egypt reveal a prophetic timeline where years are equal to pyramid inches. With this in mind it is interesting that we have an unfinished pyramid, but if the capstone (where an all-seeing eye is often depicted) completed the pointy top of the pyramid, it would be approximately 5780 inches high. The year 5780 in the calendar of the Jewish slaves would be our 2019 A.D. If the pyramid represents the earth or the northern hemisphere as many believe, does 2019 mark completion of the earth?

The Bible also points repeatedly to 1967, 2012 and 2019.

Daniel 8:14 tells us there will be 2300 evenings and mornings of gentile rule over Jerusalem after Alexander defeats the Persians. From the decisive battle of Issus in 333 BC to 1967 when the Israelis re-captured Jerusalem's Temple Mount are exactly 2300 years. For those who say that's a nice fit in hindsight, but would never have been clear enough before it happened: Adam Clarke's Bible commentaries, published in 1825, said that we could expect Jews to retake the site of the Temple around 1966:

"If we date these years from the vision of the he-goat, (Alexander's invasion of Asia) this was A.M. 3670, B.C. 334; and two thousand three hundred years from that time will reach to A.D. 1966, or one hundred and forty-one years from the present."

There are a few reasons he may have been off by a year, including counting from the earlier battle of Granicus and not the later and more decisive battle of Issus. He still pretty much nailed it over a century in advance.

Daniel also mentioned time frames of 1260, 1290, and 1335. Starting with the Babylonian destruction of the Jewish Temple in 584 BC, and adding 1260 years, we reach 677 AD when the first Islamic mosque was built on the site of the former Temple. Another 1290 years brings us to 1967. The last 45 year gap between 1290 and 1335 brings us to 2012.

My research on Bible prophecy concludes that there are astronomical clues pointing to future dates. The night sky can be used as a giant clock; any detailed description of the positions of heavenly bodies allows us to determine when that arrangement will happen in the sky. The Bible gives many descriptions of the future heavens at specific times.

Sometimes these astronomical descriptions are uselessly vague - like when they describe something that happens every few years. But many things in the Bible point to December 21, 2019 - and no other time I've looked at (between 0 and 5000 AD, anyway.) I think that whether or not one believes in God or Jesus, one can still analyze biblical stories astronomically and arrive at 2012 and 2019. If this is more than a theory, then watch the Middle East this month - it would be hard to ignore (for example) if a war between Israel and her enemies ends with a seven year peace treaty signed near 12/21/2012.

I think the tribulation may start at the Mayan end date because many astronomical clues in the Bible point to December 21, 2019.

Great work OP. Very good insight as to the ice age side of things as well. I have maintained Sandy was staged (a FF like 9/11) to give the US the gravitas to push the climate change soon to occur on this planet. However they are blaming it on mankind which is a fraud.
