Here in the states, many elementary, midle and high schools have police officers on duty...some even have police stations built into the school buildings.....you can't enter without passing through a metal detector and proving your id.......

I live across from three schools....all crawling with police officers. And I live in a very safe neighborhood.....

While this may not be the case in every school in America, there are many, many schools where this IS the case........it won't be long before every single school in this country is like a police station....

That being said.....parents have the right to protect their children.....armed parents tend to be more successful....

This is not about children protecting themselves....It is about ADULTS protecting themselves and their children...
