We live in the high plains of Kansas.1 stoplite in 900 square miles. We have rattle snakes,, coyotes that kill baby calves,Mt lions, and we see people walking the roads at night 15 miles out in the middle of nowhere looking for a place to stay,, or some food or something to steal..

If I would call 911,, at best it would take the law 30 minutes to drive to my house.. I have to have a gun for protection as in 30 minutes without one I would lose all of my baby cows,, get bitten by a rattle snake 4 times year,, that would kill me as it takes so long to get to the hospital.. 80 miles away..

And them strange people we see at times,, know not to be seen in my back yard as I am armed.. If I was not,, they would kill me,, rape my wife,, eat all my food and steal my car and move on to the next sucker.

It's not so much the means of banning guns as much as the type of society we have become. Sure we can ban guns, but will that stop the killing? Will banning guns become the permanent solution to respecting the life of another? I don't believe so. Face it, we have become a society wrapped up in violence and one-up-man-ship of violence to this destructive point of taking the innocent. We have become desensitized to all manner of gruesome attacks over the past decades from Vietnam and Charles Manson to Columbine. We plopped our children in front of violent video game so we weren't bother for the next hour or so. We support mayhem on television, movies, theater & so called sports (IFC & Wrestling). We always, bring into the spotlight, the mass murders and turn them into notorious celebrities in the media while their victims turn into a faded memory. We embrace killing as a society and sell it like a precious commodity.

Independently, guns or video games, violent music and reality shows, bad parenting or blood and gore movies can't be blamed for these acts of insanity. But put them all together in a nice, societal package that we can tune in to at will or subject our children to and it's easy to see where the blame might lie. The only way this will end is when we take a stand and stop conditioning the impressible mind that this type of killing behavior is acceptable in society.

Call for a ban on guns if you want, but it's not the solution! Society needs to change...

Something like 35m I believe.Same thing with Canada, just as large as the U.S...fuck all for population 30 ish mil. U.K. same thing 65 mil.
