The shooter was 20. If you would have asked him what "Helter Skelter" was, he probably would have thought it was a new Resident Evil title.

He just need to listen and be triggered by it. Well lets say that was true, and he was triggered by the song Helter Skelter, but without knowing it's meaning or history.
