Stephen Harper is a sociopath.
In the country where Greenpeace started, we are now one of the worst polluters.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26372742

I think that's a good thing. Fuck Greenpeace.

Humans have become so arrogant to believe that we could hurt the planet...

"One man. One man setting himself on fire in Tunisia can lead to the toppling of governments across the Arab world."

Was used by the western mass media as the shot heard around the world to use as as a scapegaot for their continuing regime change agenda in the Middle East.

You fell for the propaganda.

The muslim brotherhood was created by city of london agents 80 years ago.

The west propped up dictators to supress their populations while at the same time the populations were encouraged to massively reproduce.

producing demographic nightmares that can't be escaped from.

It will take many decades for all these countries to get back to where they were 6 decades ago and try again.

Now they are giving the population democracy and cutting them loose.

Have fun collapsing to oblivion.

Vote for vengence?...great...then instead of impossing sanctions on the innocent populations of weatern installed dictators.

you can impose sanctions on the guilty populations that voted for them to be imposed.

Becaue in the end if you don't know truth and all you have are lies to pick from.

You will just have to pick the lies you like the most and embrace them as Truth.

Population of New Zealand is 4 million.

Just the increase per year by teh rest of the developing world is greater than any cut new zealand could ever make.

It's stupid.

Australia's population is 22 million but the brainwashing of the population in australia is superior.

They are devout worshipers of the green gospel.

We can't kill the planet, but we can certainly remove it's ability to support us.
 Quoting: Shogu666

What makes you think the planet ever intended to support us for long?

One big asteroid or supervolcano and we're gone... Making room for another species to follow us.

First denial, then ridicule, then acceptance. And here's why you're all wrong--ONE MAN can change the world. One man. One man setting himself on fire in Tunisia can lead to the toppling of governments across the Arab world.

So, can seven billion people driving cars not impact the atmosphere? No, okay, well, I won't waste my time arguing with people that cannot accept the obvious.

And anyway, I got no kids to protect the world for. It's YOUR kids that will grow up in a world so grossly polluted that they will struggle for survival. Good for you!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29316775

I think global warming is not primarily manmade, but I agree that one man, or one country, can change the world.

Canada just did. This is the end of the "inevitability" of Kyoto. It can go down as well as up!

In order for Canada to continue ripping the Earth a new asshole through strip mining (oil sands) they have to get rid of any environmental treaties.

I know, right. I dump my used oil from all my vehicles, mercury bulbs, bad gasoline and even antifreeze in a hole in my back yard and it doesn't seem to hurt the surrounding swamp land. And i know it's not harming because i don't get sick from the fish i eat out of it.

United Nations Convention framework
Recognizing that developed countries are principally responsible for the current high levels of GHG emissions in the atmosphere as a result of more than 150 years of industrial activity, the Protocol places a heavier burden on developed nations under the principle of “common but differentiated responsibilities.”

(In other workds we are responsible for the environmental changes in third world countries)

The Adaptation Fund was established to finance adaptation projects and programmes in developing countries that are Parties to the Kyoto Protocol. The Fund is financed mainly with a share of proceeds from CDM project activities.

(The UN wants to force industrial countries to dund their projects through a means of fines or a carbon tax)

I'm glad the primeminister said no.
