Prescription Drugs Kill 6200% More Americans than Homicidal Shootings | |

Quoting: Patrick Bateman Very few. This many people are not educated enough about how these poisons work in a complex biological system as the human body. One poison leads to the need for more poison down the road to offset the earlier poison.... A genius system made to produce the holy $$$$$$$$ |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30033280 Shills might as well give up on banning guns. It can never happen. There are so many guns in circulation right now that getting rid of them is IMPOSSIBLE. Gotta find another battle to fight. Outlawing them would be like throwing a grape at a train. It will achieve absolutely nothing. Sure a few cowards will turn theirs in but 99% will not. Where does that leave us? Anyway, guns are to protect us from the government first and foremost. So sure they want to take our guns. ![]() The tide has turned. Anyone as paranoid and delusional as you isn't fit to own a gun in any case. |

Unless you have a PHD in BIO, you are less educated in it than I am, specifically cell biology. Yes, sometimes people OD, some dr.'s miss the drug interactions. etc. But way more people are saved by modern medicines and drugs than killed. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10186417 Unintentional result by drug interaction, or wrong prescription in comparison to act of intentional homicide. When you check the background of school shooters, you'll find that every one of them except one was either on psychiatric drugs or had just gone off of them. In the one exception, the medical records weren't released. |

How about you take your PhD in Biology and shove it where the sun don't shine, because it has obviously made you completely ignorant of the facts. Instead you're spouting boiler plate nonsense that you've memorized. Legal drugs manage patients, they rarely save lives. They do set people up for more illness in their lives. In the case of the psychiatric drugs, they impel some users to commit multiple murders because they hallucinate, seeing things that aren't real to you and me, but very real to them. As the OP pointed out, these drugs kill several hundred thousand people a year in the US. They also result in 1.6 million visits each year to the emergency room. Each prescription drug leads to yet another to combat the illnesses caused by the previous one. To call drugs that make people sick life savers is a stupidity that a child shouldn't make. let alone someone who claims to be highly educated. |
