They decided to check if a man armed with a handgun will

have time to use it if he will be attacked by a someone

armed with a knife.

Footage shows the soldier gets a wound in the neck before

he drags his pistol.

Glock 27

Good to have a 23 as well, but the 27 is a great conceal weapon, and one that packs a .40 caliber whop. Your .380 might just piss someone off.

Just because we Americans think bigger is better, it is not always so. Even .22 can kill, if it hits you right.

One of the advantages of a .380 in populated areas, is less of a chance of deadly collateral damage.
Even Highly trained Police officers, miss the target in the heat of the moment and hit bystanders.
Larger calibers, like .357 mag, may penetrate walls and injure or kill, your family or neighbors, etc.
Something to think about.

4 out of 5 times leaving home i'll have my ruger LCP lasermax on me rather than my Glock 22. It hardly ever get in my way thats why. glocks too bulky too keep all day esp with extended clips. Hell Ruger LCP actually it makes me forget my cellphone at times cuz it's so light.

hollow points well placed are the equalizer.

So this is what we're getting for christmas.....his and hers, I have plenty of other firearms that don't qualify for. Wanting light compact with plenty of pop, leaning towards either a Bersa thunder .380 or Ruger Lcp .380.

We're both getting our concealed carry permits asap.

Same here. We are planning on taking the class once she has a Saturday off. I've been thinking about getting a S&W Bodyguard. Its a .380, has the built in laser below the barrel, fits perfect in the pocket and can be got new for about $350.

And for the person that said the 380 might only piss someone off... If my cousin, whom is a LE and teaches Concealed classes trust the 380 to carry, than I can too.

Between those two, I'd take the Bersa Thunder .380. Its a very finely made weapon, the quality and reliability will not disappoint you.

If you have a little more money, go for an original pattern Makarov. Bulgarians are still available for a reasonable price in the original 9x17 caliber. I've found the Makarovs to be slightly more accurate than the Bersa Thunder .380, but not by much. The Bersa Thunder .380 does have better sights however.

Try it out at a gun range, you should be able to find one locally that will rent you a Bersa Thunder so you can feel it out and see if you like it.

cheers

It depends on who you are dealing with. A good majority of would be robers will run at the sight of a gun and almost certainly will if you fire off a round. But, if you are dealing with someone on drugs then you need knock down power. A 380 will not work in certain situations unless you hit them between the eyes.

In public building why not have one loaded where they used to have the fire-axe and give anybody with a card can open it is they have had some training. Time for sleeping gas in the sprinkler system, same deal need a card to trigger it.

I carry a Smith&Wesson Bodyguard 380 with laser sight in a pocket holster that I have never had any issues with at all and it is very accurate at 30'. But just to safeguard myself in case it may ever happen to jam or misfire when I may really need it (hope not lol) I carry a ruger p95 in a paddle holster on my hip with extra mag and just to be safe I carry my Beretta 25 in a a good safariland holster in my boot. I try not to over do things. Just my 2 cents on the S&W Bodyguard though. Good Luck!

Re: Best conceal carry weapons
I carry the Bersa Thunder .380 15+1 Nickel Finish.
With the right holster I am happy with the weapon overall.

The break in has been difficult though, as of now it only will run Remington Rounded Point FMJ Ammo without hiccups, thinking about sending it back under warranty.

I'm only human, it's my biggest flaw.

We must all realize a sink a chair and a pillow are all luxuries of home and a soldiers helmet takes the place of all three.
