Best conceal carry weapons
So this is what we're getting for christmas.....his and hers, I have plenty of other firearms that don't qualify for. Wanting light compact with plenty of pop, leaning towards either a Bersa thunder .380 or Ruger Lcp .380.

We're both getting our concealed carry permits asap.

Look into the Taurus 709 slim. That is my summer carry gun. very accurate, easy to take down and clean and very well made. me and son both own one of these and are very happy with them.

I got my wife a G19, she is very comfortable with it.

I carry either a G17 or a P11 depending on my attire.

Glock 27

Good to have a 23 as well, but the 27 is a great conceal weapon, and one that packs a .40 caliber whop. Your .380 might just piss someone off.

I love the idea of the .40 cal, but I don't like the sharp recoil. That's just me. I think a .45 is just about perfect, but most of them are so bulky, and the compact ones have too few rounds.

Me, I prefer the 9mm. I feel I can put more rounds on target more quickly if need be, and with a reasonably compact weapons that conceals well and holds a reasonable amount of ammunition.

Not arguing - just discussing.

Beretta nano. More bang for the buck. Much better (and cheaper) round than the .380.

I wouldn't get anything smaller than a 9mm. Although that LCP is a good backup pocket pistol.

I love Glock. I've never once had a problem with mine and have put several hundred rounds through it. I really like the feel of a Sig, but as you know they're more expensive and about a pound heavier I believe...

there are so many good semi's out there i really can't suggest just one or so. What i do suggest is you get SJH rounds, that will leave big holes in enemies, in most caliber. I myself have a .45 aand a .223 S/W.

My springfield holds 10 and one in the chamber, not too bad for a compact .45.

Not if you burn one through their forehead first, the way I look at it you're not pulling it out for show and tell. If I skin that smoke wagon all bets are off, I may opt for a larger cal. but for the wifey she doesn't like recoil so.....I digress.

I cant stand their p 380. It's really, really hard to move the slide and when u release it sometimes it doesn't set in right.

I carry a Smith&Wesson Bodyguard 380 with laser sight in a pocket holster that I have never had any issues with at all and it is very accurate at 30'. But just to safeguard myself in case it may ever happen to jam or misfire when I may really need it (hope not lol) I carry a ruger p95 in a paddle holster on my hip with extra mag and just to be safe I carry my Beretta 25 in a a good safariland holster in my boot. I try not to over do things. Just my 2 cents on the S&W Bodyguard though. Good Luck!

Re: Best conceal carry weapons
How are you going to conceal the piece? If you have room you want to go with as much knockdown power as possible.

The Ruger 380 is a bitch to shoot, there's just not much to hold onto and it's a light gun. Rent one at the range before you consider it.

The new Springfield XDS .45 single stack will be my next purchase. The gun has it all IMO for a concealed carry piece.

My wife prefers our 9 mm and .40, over the 380. Both are easier guns to shoot. The 9 mm round has more snap then the .40 which pushes.
