Washington D.C. not too long ago lifted it's gun ban. Crime went down. Coincidence? You think so, but you're wrong.

Why does crime go up when people cannot protect themselves?
Let me rephrase the question for you.
Why does crime go down when people are able to protect themselves?

Do you not understand history at all? Defenseless/weak people and nations have always been attacked and/or conquered.
Attempts from weak, ego-fueled people and nations to conquer stronger nations have also occurred, but why do you suppose the "stronger" nations survived? Because they gave in to the weak fools? Or because they had weapons to say fuck off?

And let's not forget "crime" is a legal term. What is right and what is wrong may or may not fall under legality depending on the subject matter. So while Portugal, which has legalized all drugs, has zero drug "crime", the US might have a lot if you're looking at a statistic that is based against the US's definitions of crimes compared to, say Portugal.
So we do have a lot of "crime", but if that means the perpetrators are bad people then Portugal must be full of villains, corrupt people, mobs, gangs, and a safe haven for the world's criminals?

Please, i hope none of you talks about "crime rate", that is based on laws, written words. If a country outlaws breathing, eating, i'm sure their country will have 100% "crime rate".
