WTF is school security going to do? a few cops are not going to stop a maniac. Just because they are cops doesn't mean they can't get shot. Remember Fort Hood? Yeah a military base and some maniac still managed to shoot 40 people, killing 13 of them.

Arm the teachers like they do in Isreal! Clean out the nest of liberals that have taken over educational system!

I voted to improve mental healthcare, but who can you trust... Apart from the tragedy and grief we all suffer will be the loss in liberty we will all share.

In the end I suspect that schools will become mini-prisons and teachers will be replaced with armed guards, upon graduation you will be paroled and live under probation until proven that you can be a citizen who poses no threat to others... But who will watch the watchers.

Arm and train all teachers, principals and bus drivers with fully automatic weapons that use a finger-print recognition device so they can only be fired by the user.

Excellent idea. I liked the idea of arming teachers but it was also a scary idea thinking about the teachers I know. This would eliminate the possibility of kids using the guns after some teacher dropped it or some other stupid thing such as older kids taking it from a teacher. And it should be mandatory that the teacher/school admin carry/conceal at all times & not keep it in a locked drawer or their brief cases, etc.

The weapons should be kept in secured lockers/safes at end of day on school premises because I can see instances of teachers "Oh, I forgot to bring my gun this morning, oh well."

A guest on coasttocoast am last night said that the Colorado shooter chose the only theatre that had a gun bun. There were larger and closer theatre's to him but he chose that one. He also cited other shootings where the shooter chose locations with gun bans.

But most of the teachers I know are very liberal & are for gun control. Their unions will fight this even if we get our legislators to pass such laws.

Arming teachers yes! Giving armed teachers raises, yes yes!!!

I voted arm the schools but i wish i could also vote focus on parenting.

Thats a hard one. If the person is already mentally unstable then ya i agree. Focus on parenting and arm schools.
