| Anonymous Coward User ID: 16712366 United States12/15/2012 02:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This pisses me off I just got a 2013 jeep last month today I was reading the owners manual and it says In addition to the vehicle manufacturer law enforcement or "other parties" can read the information if they have access to the vehicle or the EDR. My takeaway is who the hell is the other parties and they must be able to access my EDR without being near the Jeep. Scary. |

[link to cowboybyte.com] I was doing some research on this, and most cars since 1996 have the black box. Now you can remove them if you want to, but when that mandate passes in 2015 it will be against the law to remove. Then I thought to myself I can get an old car with no CPU and then I can beat the system. I was informed by a co worker that my phone has GPS ( I knew that) and that I could still be tracked. I feel if its not an RFID chip or a black box, or what ever micro tracking cell they pull into flu shots. We are all going to have to just deal.
