I just noticed I got a neg karma from someone regarding a sarcastic reply in a sarcastic thread that only a moron could have possibly thought was serious.

I've also been seeing a lot of serious replies in general to threads that are obviously jokes.

If you can't weed out obvious trolling, gross exaggerations, scarcasm, jokes, etc. then you really shouldn't be on this forum. You are not an asset to the search for truth, and without the discernment of an average 5 year old reading the material on this site could be dangerous to you and those around you.
