Putting something in my water?
My water has been really cloudy for months now. I've had the "water people" (whoever they are) out several times now to fix it. They keep saying they HAVE fixed it, but it remains cloudy.
I was very ill last week, my kid was sick and so was my fiancée. I thought it was a bug until my cat AND my dog also got sick! No bug passes from species to species does it? It must be the water because the cat and dog also drink it, so again I had them out to check it but they said the water is fine. It's like they refuse to accept something is wrong and it's driving me mad.
I'm starting to question my own sanity. I say something is wrong; they say its in my imagination!
Anyway I've started buying bottled water now and refuse to drink the water from my tap/faucet. I dunno why they don't fix it or accept that something is wrong...

to much fracking going on. never drink clouded water. send water sample to lab. ask neighbors to help pay. when it comes to water, take maters in your own hands. your job to protect your family. file lawsiuts as needed when results come back.

According to the water board it's oxygen in the water. It does settle (eventually) actually I have a photo.. I'll upload. Once I figure out how...

That doesn't look like "just oxygen in the water!" I wouldn't drink that. Do as the poster above suggested and send it off to an lab for testing. In the mean time do what you can to get some kind of filter for drinking water or bottled water for now.

Yeah it's actually got worse since they came to "fix" it.. Now not only do we have the cloudiness and foam on top, we have also got stuff floating in it now! What sorta lab do we send it to? I know nothing about this kinda stuff, it's not a problem I've experienced before.

Damn that looks bad.
I hate dirty water. As I am Aquarius and always drinking.
Get a reverse osmosis filter. Or if your really into it.
Get a kangen water machine.

No. Read the op.. We are drinking bottled water. That photo is a day AFTER they "fixed" the water, it was no where near as bad originally.

Re: Putting something in my water?
Also I feel we shouldn't need filters (tho thanks to those who offered advise on this) but water rates here are over £1000 a year so in my opinion on having to pay that we should have clean water to drink!!! We just wanted to see what your opinions on it were

Re: Putting something in my water?
You can pick up a carbon filter that attaches to your faucet pretty cheap at WalMart. They carry Brita pitcher filters too. The filters are what end up costing you in the end.

You can get different types that are rated to filter out organisms and such.

Re: Putting something in my water?
Is this tap water?

What are they doing when they "Fix" it? Sit in the basement and bag on the pipes...

What is it and what's the fix?

There is nothing in your house that they can do to fix that...if it's just coming out of the pipe like that. Something like that starts at the water treatment plant.

Unless there is a water main break and the water could get cloudy. Do your neighbors have cloudy water? Or don't they care...

Yep, water like that will definitely make you ill.

Ask your neighbors if they are getting the same thing.

Yeah that's the tap water, apparently there is a crack or something in the water main pipe which is letting to much oxygen into the water. As I've said they have been to fix it and its ended up worse than it was originally. Not sure about the neighbors, apparently the water was the same here last winter too, it's fine thru the summer.. Time to get the water peeps out again I think
