In several threads that discuss the idea of our sun revolving around a central sun, which revolves around a greater sun, which revolves around the center of our galaxy, (this information was raised in the thread: Thread: "2012 A-Z" - A Galaxial Event of Disneyesque Proportion (Epic Video-Don't Miss) ) I raised the question: How can our solar system, which is supposed to orbit Alcyone, then orbit Sirius, if Alcyone is much farther - 370 ly than Sirius - only 71 ly? Alcyone is also about 4x larger than Sirius. It didn't make sense. Well, I got no answers, which is disturbing since our pending earth changes, or at least what we might expect, depends on the answer. While researching this question, it seems that in fact the order of orbits presented by Marc from Boulder was wrong -- our sun rotates around Sirius, which rotates around Alcyone, etc. How could this guy get that wrong? Oh well, perhaps he's just a human... Yes, I have a link: [ link to www.viewzone.com] Quoting: Uncle Alyosha Your headline says "I've solved the question" and then I click and your post says "Well, I got no answers."
