Taking spirituality out of our schools is why were so messed up today..

No it isn't. Taking morality out of the classroom for fear of offending the parents is what did it. Meanwhile the family unit has been shattered by TPTB and we have millions of children without moral guidance. You don't need to be christian or buddhist to know right from wrong but traditionally religion is where most got these lessons.

Now we have parents both working two or three jobs to support their shithead kids and they just don't understand why they are so misbehaved when their xbox and playstation is what the child spends the most time with. And if there are any behavioral problems whatsoever LETS NOT BLAME THE PARENTS! It must be something wrong with the child that we can fix with prescription drugs.

These problems won't be solved by blaming and "thing". We must take personal responsibility for the problem we have created by abandoning our children and labeling all of their emotions as disorders that can be fixed and not urges that must be controlled.

What pisses me off is all the posts saying that this was not real, that it was fake. Those that think so should travel to Newtown and see with their own eyes and talk to the families, I dare them.

I wonder if millions of women will step up? the millions that left the home and went into the workforce in droves...

This was a ingredient of our job crisis btw. A man used to work in a malt shop and make enough to buy a house and a car. A mans work was gold back then

How did we come to expect that every adult man and women needed a job? instead of staying home and holding thier kids during their vital developing years

You are so right. The lack of morality and spirituality have been abandoned. The family unit is sacred no more. We have only ourselves to blame for allowing the disintegration of what we once stood for. The consequences are tragic and dire unfortunately.

Yeah, I think the shooter was upset about his parents divorce first of all.

But divorce is commonplace now. From my personal observation, 8 out of 10 people I know are divorced.

From the first initial news reports, I thought it was a kindergarten class too and that they were five years old. I thought the same.

I have heard the word Kindergarten for 24 hours.

There is something very wrong here... a couple of seven year olds and 18 six year olds?

NOT KINDERGARTEN!!

Many kids in Kindergarten are 6 at this time. With a cut-off day of 5 by September 1st, that means if you turned 5 on September 2nd you'll have to wait to go to Kindergarten until the next year and will therefore turn 6 September 2nd of your Kindergarten year.

actually in some states, not sure CT you have until the age of 7 to enroll in kindergarten
