Her father taught jazz at the university and played many local gigs. He is an awesome jazz player. They just returned to the US last summer. This song he wrote for his daughter a few years ago. In the U.S. you are six years old in the first grade!!!  No.... My middle son is 5 right now, and in Kindergarten - started the school year being 5 years old.
