We as United States citizens have a 2nd amendment right to bare arms. Our forefathers knew what they were doing giving us citizens the right to defend our property and family against criminals or a a thug in the white house.

Not concerned with them. If they are not concerned about MY ability to protect MY family, from criminals, and rogue "government", then I simply don't CARE if little Johnny got taken out.

Now if they are sensible, and think things THROUGH, after all the initial emotion wears off, then they will realize that disarming law-abiding citizens is NOT the answer. And I will have plenty of empathy for them.

The WORST thing that the parent of a victim of crime should want, is for everybody to be VULNERABLE to the same thing! The answer is most certainly NOT to disarm good people. If anything, we need to ARM more good people, since criminals will ALWAYS have guns, even if they have to MAKE them, themselves.

You are really "concerned" about grieving mothers and fathers. We can tell that you want Americans disarmed "for their own good".

What an ugly, jealous, and completely brainless creature you are.

You Oztards just don't ANY affinity for logic whatsoever, do you.

You don't have any logic about you, because you don't WANT to have anything to do with logic.

In 1776, a musket was the "assault weapon" of the day.

To an idiot like you, "logic" would have an American citizen defend themselves from tyranny with a musket, while tyranny rolls over them with fully automatic rifles, and microwaves.

12-Year-Old Defends Herself with Gun, Proves Need of 2nd Amendment

[10/17/2012] A young 12-year old girl in Bryan County, Oklahoma was able to protect her life when an intruder kicked in her back door and entered her house. Frantically, she called her mother who advised her to grab their household gun, hide in the closet, and call 911. The intruder made his way through the house, and as he was opening the door of the closet, the young girl shot him through the closet door. The intruder left the house and the girl was found unharmed. The police arrived and took the man into custody.

Five armed men who attempted to rob a jewellery store were left scrambling for the door when a 65-year-old woman opened fire on them. The handgun-wielding thieves, clad in hoodies, were forced to flee Continental Jewelry in Garden Grove, California, after the woman chased after them last week.

One of the single most ignorant statements on GLP, and there are a LOT to choose from.

If it weren't for guns, you would never have had one MINUTE of freedom.

Surely you can do better than the the borderline Orwellian guns = freedom contention used in that last sentence of yours.

Morgan Freeman's take on what happened yesterday :

"You want to know why. This may sound cynical, but here's why.

It's because of the way the media reports it. Flip on the news and watch how we treat the Batman theater shooter and the Oregon mall shooter like celebrities. Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris are household names, but do you know the name of a single *victim* of Columbine? Disturbed
people who would otherwise just off themselves in their basements see the news and want to top it by doing something worse, and going out in a memorable way. Why a grade school? Why children? Because he'll be remembered as a horrible monster, instead of a sad nobody.

CNN's article says that if the body count "holds up", this will rank as the second deadliest shooting behind Virginia Tech, as if statistics somehow make one shooting worse than another. Then they post a video interview of third-graders for all the details of what they saw and heard while the shootings were happening. Fox News has plastered the killer's face on all their reports for hours. Any articles or news stories yet that focus on the victims and ignore the killer's identity? None that I've seen yet. Because they don't sell. So congratulations, sensationalist media, you've just lit the fire for someone to top this and knock off a day care center or a maternity ward next.

You can help by forgetting you ever read this man's name, and remembering the name of at least one victim. You can help by donating to mental health research instead of pointing to gun control as the problem. You can help by turning off the news."

hmmm we say that all the time at glp.....

Well, they sure don't own ME, so you must have somehow gotten me confused with the libtard masses here.

I live in a paid for 4 bedroom, 3 bath home, with two high-end paid for vehicles, and have no outstanding debts. And I only buy American.

So how, exactly, does China own me?

The crime rate is very low in Switzerland, and very high in Australia.

The rabid Oztard in this thread is VERY likely a criminal. who detests gun ownership.

Aussie troll will be the first coward to surrender everything he owns when china takes over.

And with the way that he (and all the other foaming at the mouth Oztards on this forum) has so much contempt for Americans and their rights, I can't help but think of that as poetic.

It only shows the high level of success when citizens of different countries believe they have, or should have, a voice in how the other is run.

A glorious development indeed!

i say it slowly for you, you live within the borders of a country who owes China more than you and your grandkids will ever be able to pay off.

And that house, put together by machinery manufactured mostly in china. USA today is most certainly not the USA of a few decades ago. Somewhere along the line you guys forgot what made your country the greatest.
