Chip![]() Forum Moderator User ID: 18591269 12/16/2012 11:49 AM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Earlier tonight while at Wally World we swung by sporting goods so I could pick up some fishing supplies. Daughter no.1 first noticed it, an AR-15 (not sure if it was a Bushmaster) on display in the gun case behind the counter. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9943244 Daughter number 2 is a bit older and more aware, and she was very upset at seeing it there. She asked "daddy, is that the gun that was used to kill all those kids in the school?" -- and I had to answer that yes dear, that's the gun that was used to kill those kids. I will be writing a letter to Walmart asking them to at least consider not selling AR-15s anymore, or at least keep them where young children cannot see them. Daughter no. 2 is still very upset ... You my friend are a failure as a parent. Allowing your children to fear inanimate objects without explaining their proper usage is just another form a brainwashing. I hope you choke on your trendy aspartame gum. Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. ~Arthur C. Clarke Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. You avoid the real issue and avoid talking to your daughters. Going to request they hide any other items in the store that may have killed someone? Bleeding-heart liberals and their lack of accountability and the need to enforce restrictive rules on everyone else. |

Sounds to me like you came from some shithole of a state or country that knows nothing of the values we hold so dearly in this country. You can go back to your liberal hell hole at any time. Funny. This is exactly the non verbal programming being spouted by the news. They don't say it, they don't have to. But it's programming the next generation to accept that they aren't responsible enough to defend themselves. So those poor little children were simply irresponsible? I'm sure that will be of great comfort to the grieving parents. |

I didn't pick up on that for a couple of days and yet you say your young children had been so saturated with coverage of this tragedy to not only know the type of gun but then be able to identify it at Wal-Mart. You are very sick to expose them to this much detailed information at young ages. Totally inappropriate! Child abuse in fact to try to terrorize them like that. Get help, OP! You need professional counselling on your lack of parenting skills. One of the most important aspects of conspiracy theories is being able to discern when there isn't one. People are a little more enlightened around here -- no rednecks and trailer parks. Oh so you're one of those Austinites we keep hearing about. Austin used to be a nice place till liberal douchebags took it over and ruined the place. Enlightened my ass and yes there are trailer parks and rednecks there to. You know how us real Texans can tell folks like you ain't from round here. When you open your fucking mouths with derogatory statements like rednecks and acting like you're so much smarter than everyone else. Is that why you moved to Texas because you thought that you would be better than all the trailer trash and rednecks. I'll take someone who is a redneck and lives in a trailer any day over liberal scum like you. OP, do your daughters also get "traumatized" when they see AR-15s on TV because they are all over programs and movies on TV. So as a good parent you should cancel your Cable TV subscription and complain to the cable companies. then complain to every cop you see carrying a gun and explain to them that it traumatizes your daughters and they should remove them immediately. You might pee in your pants when it goes boom, but the recoil is absorbed for your delicate shoulders by the buffer spring. I was in the Air Force and went thru familiarization with the M-16A1, then the A2. I'm not afraid of rifles, I realize that they have a purpose in the military and law enforcement. And that purpose is to KILL people. However, I don't want 20 year-old mentally unstable dorks being able to run by Walmart and pick up an AR and a case of ammo, then go shoot up a kindergarten. That can't be allowed to happen EVER again. |
